My name is Selim Elbadri. I am currently a PhD Economics candidate at the University of Nottingham, where I am also an affiliate of both the Centre for Finance, Credit and Macroeconomics (CFCM) as well as the Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP).
My research interests lie in long-run growth & productivity with an emphasis on structural change, innovation and human capital.
Recently, I had the privilege of visiting the Economics Department in Washington University in St. Louis (Fall 2024) and of serving as a summer intern twice in the Economics Department of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) (2024, 2025). Before the PhD, I completed the MSc in Economics for Development at the University of Oxford.
